MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) have officially announced the suspension of classes on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, following the aftermath of Severe Tropical Storm “Opong.”
This list will be updated as soon as local or national authorities issue their advisories.

🚨 Aftermath of Successive Storms and Monsoon Rains
Twenty-six people have died due to the combined impact of Severe Tropical Storm “Opong,” Super Typhoon “Nando,” Tropical Depression “Mirasol,” and the southwest monsoon. However, only four deaths have been confirmed so far, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC reported that over 738,000 families, or nearly 2.8 million individuals, were affected across 16 regions. More than 78,000 families have been displaced, with 46,000 forced into evacuation centers. Read full report here.
